BATTLERAGE "Battlefield Supremacy" limited tape release details.

Alongside with SKELATOR "Give Me Metal Or Give Me Death" cassette, Metal On Metal Records put out another limited tape release: BATTLERAGE "Battlefield Supremacy".

Chilean horde BATTLERAGE is the most prominent band playing True Heavy Metal from this South American country. Formed in 2002 in Santiago, they have never compromised their rough and epic style and gained a considerable following, having put out 2 demos (re-released under the title "The Slaughter Returns" in 2008 by Metal On Metal Records), 1 full-length, 1 EP, 1 live tape and 2 further full-length albums: "Blood, Fire, Steel" in 2009 and "True Metal Victory" in 2011 (both on Metal On Metal Records).

BATTLERAGE "Battlefield Supremacy", released on limited to 66 copies pro-tapes, contains all songs from the band's 2004 full-length album "Steel Supremacy" (minus the Manilla Road cover) and 4 studio songs (including intro) taken from their 2006 EP "Battlefield Belongs To Me". Both releases of these Chilean metal barbarians were very hard to find and not available for a long time. Here’s the complete tape track list:

MORTALICUM confirmed for MALTA DOOM METAL festival
"The Endtime Prophecy" CD details.

Swedish doomsters MORTALICUM have been confirmed for the 4th edition of prestigious MALTA DOOM METAL festival (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Malta-Doom-Metal/156169121114291, https://www.facebook.com/events/225682357507662/), that will take place on November 2nd and 3rd on this Mediterranean island. They will share the stage with a plethora of national and  international Doom Metal bands, including the recently reformed SORCERER (Sweden), DAWN OF WINTER (Germany), THE BLACK (Italy), SEMLAH (Sweden), FORSAKEN (Malta), HOODED PRIEST (Netherlands), CHILDREN OF DOOM (France), IRON VOID (UK) and FOREST STREAM (Russia), to name but a few.

MORTALICUM from the northern parts of Sweden (Sundsvall) was formed in 2006 by Patrick Backlund, the mastermind behind QUICKSAND DREAM, an epic Heavy Metal band that started out in the late '80s. In 2010 the band got signed to Metal On Metal Records which released their debut CD "Progress Of Doom" the same year.

"The Endtime Prophecy" is the 2nd full-length album of the band, released by Metal On Metal Records on April 27th this year. MORTALICUM once again proved the quality of Swedish metal, bringing tons of classy and vintage sounding Doom Metal mixed with early ’80s Heavy Metal and ’70s Hard Rock, with emphasis on melody, soulful guitar solos and singing, and massive doomy riffs.

SKELATOR

SKELATOR confirmed for METAL ASSAULT festival; "Agents Of Power" CD details.

The US Epic Heavy/Speed Metal warriors, SKELATOR have just been confirmed for the 3rd edition of METAL ASSAULT festival (http://www.facebook.com/metalassaultfestival) that will take place on February 2nd 2013 in Würzburg, Germany. The festival is organized by Oliver Weinsheimer, who is also the organizer of the biggest and most prestigious underground metal festival Keep It True. So far the only other confirmed act for Metal Assault III is ATTACKER (US Power Metal legends from New Jersey).

SKELATOR, formed in 1998 in San Diego, CA and relocated to Seattle, WA, declared war on all the false and have been continuously proving their own dedication and zealous passion for the true metal art, never caring about any trends, but playing metal the way they see fit: raw and epic. After countless live shows (most recently supporting ACCEPT, SYMPHONY X, SABATON, ANVIL and soon RHAPSODY OF FIRE), several demos, EPs, compilation "Time Of The Sword Rulers" (2008, Metal On Metal Records) and first proper full-length album "Death To All Nations" (2010, Metal On Metal Records), the band strikes back with a new slab of raw steel.

"Agents Of Power", their 2nd studio album, is split into 2 parts, with the first 4 songs being kick-ass, catchy metal anthems and the other 12 forming an Elric epic, which had been carefully crafted for over a decade. The CD was released by Metal On Metal Records on April 27th.

Except for the new SKELATOR studio album, Metal On Metal Records released also "Give Me Metal Or Give Me Death" on pro-tape format, limited to 66 copies. It's the 2007 re-recording of SKELATOR's 2003 full-length demo of the same title (and as a bonus, the band’s very first 4-track demo "Taste My Demon Seed" from 2000 was added). The album had been made available by the band for downloading from their website only, back in 2008, so this is the first time it sees the light of day on a physical format.

SACRET GATE...

SACRED GATE joins Metal On Metal roster; "When Eternity Ends" CD details.

SACRED GATE is a traditional Heavy Metal band from Mönchengladbach, Germany, formed in 2008. The skills they presented on the album, which they were shopping around, were so impressive that they soon scored a deal with Metal On Metal Records known for its good "nose" for finding quality old school metal bands.

The band’s founding members, guitarist and composer Nicko Nikolaidis and vocalist Jim Over (both of Greek origin), have mastered their craft in other bands prior to SACRED GATE. They both played together in MADE OF IRON, which was originally an IRON MAIDEN cover band, before starting to write their own songs and releasing a couple of demos, EP and a full-length as MADE OF IRON and an EP "Creators Of The Downfall" as SACRED GATE in 2011. And the British giants still have the biggest influence on SACRED GATE’s music, which is rooted in NWOBHM, but also has some ’80s US Power Metal elements.

HERETIC...

HERETIC joins Metal On Metal roster and works on the reunion album; new songs online. 

Metal On Metal Records is proud announce that the legendary US Power/Thrash Metal act HERETIC has joined its roster.

The band, formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, CA, released an EP "Torture Knows No Boundary" (1986) and a full-length "Breaking Point" (1988) through Metal Blade Records before disbanding. Later on the founding member, songwriter and guitarist Brian Korban together with bassist Dennis O’Hara formed REVEREND, which featured the vocal talents of the late David Wayne (METAL CHURCH).

In 2011 Brian Korban reformed the band, recruiting Julian Mendez, the vocalist who sang on the band’s first EP. Soon they were joined by the seasoned musicians, long-time friends and collaborators, guitarist Glenn Rogers (VIKING, ex-HIRAX, ex-DELIVERANCE, ex-STEEL VENGEANCE and others) and bassist Angelo Espino (BITCH, ex-REVEREND, ex-HIRAX, ex-ANGER AS ART, ex-UNCLE SLAM and others) and a young, but talented drummer Ignazio Coppola.

This line-up has already played several shows and started recording the new album "A Time Of Crisis", which at this point is almost complete and scheduled for July 26th release. The final recording sessions with producer John Anthony Haddad (known for his work with HIRAX) at the Trench Studios are scheduled for May 26th-28th.

Metal On Metal Records states: "It’s not uncommon that reunions of once great bands from the ’80s turn into disappointments, but after hearing several songs from this upcoming album we are confident that it will be one strong and exciting come back (in spite of the lack of Mike Howe who sang on the band’s ’88 LP and who has retired from the music business)."
